We each got a precious gift today. A little light bowl the kids in a day center has made. The name of the center in the middle of red light district means "light": the teachers believe that these children must be given light and hope - whether they come for an hour or a day.
Their mothers are prostitutes and the kids are with them at work. The daycenter is a cherished break for them to eat, play, learn to read and write, get cleaned up and sleep in protective surroundings.
